🌺 Day 9 — सिद्धिदात्री (Siddhidatri)
कमल पर विराजमान, चतुर्भुजी, सिद्धियों की दात्री — नौ रातों की साधना की पूर्णता का प्रतीक, नवमी को पूजित अंतिम स्वरूप।
Seated on a lotus, four-armed, the bestower of siddhis (spiritual accomplishments/perfections) — the final form, marking the completion of the nine-night sadhana on Navami.
🛕 Samagri (Materials Needed)
- सजी चौकी पर लाल वस्त्र सहित दुर्गा/देवी की प्रतिमा या चित्र — Durga/Devi image or murti on a decorated chowki with red cloth
- दीपक (घी या तिल तेल), रुई की बत्ती, धूप और कपूर — Diya (ghee or til oil), cotton wicks, dhoop and camphor
- रोली, कुमकुम, हल्दी, चन्दन और अक्षत (चावल) — Roli, kumkum, haldi, chandan and akshat (rice)
- ताज़े पुष्प (विशेषतः लाल), माला और बिल्व/अशोक पत्ते — Fresh flowers (preferably red), mala and bilva/ashok leaves
- आज का भोग: तिल — Today's bhog: til (sesame seeds)
- फल और मिश्री प्रसाद — Fruits and mishri prasad
- आरती थाली, घंटी और शंख — Aarti thali, ghanti (bell) and shankh
- देवी हेतु लाल चुनरी — Red chunri for the Devi
- हवन सामग्री (हवन कुण्ड, समिधा/लकड़ी, घी, हवन मिश्रण), यदि समापन हवन करना हो — Havan samagri (havan kund, samidha/wood, ghee, havan mishran) if performing a closing havan
- कन्या पूजन सामग्री (देखें आठवां दिन), यदि नवमी को करना हो — Kanya puja items (see Day 8) if Kanya Puja is being performed on Navami instead
📿 Step-by-Step Vidhi
नवमी को अनेक परिवार समापन हवन करते हैं, नौ दिनों के देवी-मंत्र (या नवार्ण मंत्र) का जाप करते हुए आहुति अर्पित करते हैं, तत्पश्चात यदि अष्टमी को न किया हो तो कन्या पूजन करते हैं। इसके बाद प्रथम दिन स्थापित कलश का धन्यवाद कर उसका जल आशीर्वाद स्वरूप घर में छिड़कें — बोए गए जौ/सप्तधान्य के अंकुर व्रत की पूर्णता के प्रतीक हैं — इसके पश्चात नवरात्रि पारण किया जाता है।
Navami is when many families perform a closing havan, offering ahuti while chanting the Devi mantras of all nine days (or the Navarna mantra), followed by Kanya Puja if it was not done on Ashtami. Afterwards, thank the kalash installed on Day 1, sprinkle its water around the home as a blessing, and let the sown jau/saptadhanya seedlings mark the completion of the vrat — Navratri Parana (breaking the fast) follows.

Invoke Maa Siddhidatri with her dhyan shloka from the Devi Mahatmyam, then her simple naman mantra.
विधिपूर्वक सोलह उपचार क्रम से अर्पित करें — आसन, पाद्य, अर्घ्य, स्नान, वस्त्र, गन्ध (चन्दन), पुष्प, धूप, दीप, नैवेद्य, आचमन, ताम्बूल, दक्षिणा, प्रदक्षिणा और पुष्पांजलि — पूर्ण श्रद्धा के साथ, परिवार सहित बैठकर पूजा करें।
Offer the standard sixteen upachar in sequence — aasan, paadya, arghya, snan, vastra, gandh (chandan), pushp, dhoop, deep, naivedya, aachman, tambul, dakshina, pradakshina and pushpanjali — with full shraddha, keeping the family seated together for the pooja.
आज माँ सिद्धिदात्री को तिल अर्पित किया जाता है — इस समापन दिवस पर अर्पित करें, कभी-कभी अंतिम हलवा-पूरी-चना भोजन के साथ भी।
Til (sesame seeds) is offered to Maa Siddhidatri today, offered on this concluding day, sometimes alongside a final halwa-puri-chana meal.
दुर्गा आरती के साथ पूजा का समापन करें — आरती थाली परिवार में घुमाएं और घंटी बजाएं।
Conclude with the Durga aarti, passing the aarti thali through the family and ringing the bell.
